OneCoin Ltd. is a company behind a cryptocurrency-based Ponzi scheme, founded by Bulgarian national Ruja Ignatova. The scheme raised $4 billion from 2014 to 2016, promising high returns but never delivering. The company sold educational materials and operated a multi-level marketing scheme, but the OneCoin currency was never actively traded and could not be used to purchase anything.
